Still at it!

Atherton cenotaph is in need of renovation/improvement due to the ravages of time and the (very) large numbers that attend the service of rememberance each year. Local groups of residents and serveice organisations along with councillors and representatives of the local authority have been trying for over two years to plan and fund the renovation and improvements to the land behind it to create a 'Peace Garden'

All the planning has been completed, some of the improvements have been implemented, but the funding is the major hold-up now.
